NeuroSomatic Integration Bodywork is a skills-based modality that helps you
- Be more present in your life
- Show up how you mean to in your relationships
- Be more engaged in your work
- Dedicate more energy to your art
- Participate in your family and all your relationships in a way that aligns with your values
- Offer more to your community
- Contribute to a world that needs people who can respond to what’s happening now, not just react from their past experiences.
In order to produce these benefits, we will use a somatic (or body-based) approach to developing specific skills, including:
- Noticing the parts of your body that brace, guard, and protect you from past experiences
- Turning down the guard/protect response and experience soft readiness to experience the present in the body.
- Increasing (somatic) self-awareness
- Developing tools for nervous system regulation
- Cultivating self-compassion
- Practicing trust and boundaries.
- Somatically experiencing “surrender” or “letting go”
Sessions are 1-hour long, and in contrast with many bodywork modalities, you are not a passive recipient, but an active participant.
This work is ideal for people who…
- …are Neurodivergent and have struggled with proprioception (feeling their bodies easily)
- …have experienced physical or emotional trauma that has led them to dissociate from their bodies, and struggle to get or stay in their bodies now
- …have done their therapy on their trauma but still feel something happening in their body despite all their work
- …want to understand and explore how their history continues to affect tension and holding in their body.
Sessions are $225 for 50-minutes.
Typically, we will meet weekly or bi-weekly until the basic skills are developed and you are able to recall painful or difficult experiences from the past without your body bracing to protect you from them.
When you don’t have to protect yourself from the past, you can show up more as yourself as the growing, healing, powerful person you are now.
